Ministry of Transport to Strengthen Oversight of Electronic Queue Usage
The Russian Ministry of Transport, together with ASMAP, the Digital Transport and Logistics Association, representatives of the transport industry, ZashchitaInfoTrans, and RosgranStroy, held a discussion on existing issues related to the electronic booking system at international automobile border checkpoints, particularly at the Zabaikalsk checkpoint. According to the Ministry’s press service on its official Telegram channel, the meeting resulted in joint proposals aimed at creating equal and transparent conditions for all participants in the international transport market. Among the specific proposals were: Limiting booking cancellations (no more than 9 applications for different vehicles from a single user account), Verifying fines and vehicle information, Blocking unscrupulous carriers who violate booking rules. A separate focus was placed on combating bots that automatically reserve queue spots. Technical solutions have been developed to detect and prevent such actions, including a multi-level security system ranging from external traffic filtering to analyzing user behavior. Another key area of focus is close cooperation with law enforcement agencies to combat the illegal sale of queue positions in the electronic system. Additionally, the registry of international carriers will be improved. There are plans to tighten registration requirements for foreign carriers, including document and permit verification.
