Chinese auto giant BYD surpasses Tesla in quarterly revenue for the first time

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has surpassed Tesla in terms of quarterly revenue for the first time, "Rambler" reports. According to financial results for the third quarter of 2024, BYD's revenue reached a record 28,24 billion USD (RMB 201,12 billion), up 24% year-on-year. This result exceeded Tesla, whose revenue for the same period was 25,2 billion USD. The Chinese automaker's net profit also posted a positive trend, rising 11,5% to a record 1,63 billion USD (RMB 11,61 billion). However, by this parameter, Tesla maintains leadership with an indicator of 2,2 billion USD for the quarter.
