DP World acquires its own container fleet

DP World has acquired its own container fleet for the first time, with a total capacity of 47 thousand TEU, Seatrade Maritime reports. “Disruptions to the global supply chain are on the rise, leading to container equipment being in short supply or being located where it is not needed”, - the company said. “Supply chains are under increasing pressure in these challenging conditions”. As DP World CEO Ganesh Raj said, “The addition of 47 thousand TEUs to the company’s ecosystem of assets will give customers the confidence that their goods will be delivered to their destination by one partner”. DP World branded containers are distributed across 78 countries.
