Kazakhstan to Implement Electronic Queues at 4 More Border Crossings with Russia in May
Kazakhstan is continuing its large-scale implementation of the CarGoRuqsat electronic queue system at state border checkpoints. In the coming months, the platform, which is already operational at 24 crossings with Russia, will be extended to four more key points. This was reported by "Sputnik Kazakhstan," citing data from the State Revenue Committee. In May 2025, the system will become operational at the "Zhana Zhol" checkpoint in the North Kazakhstan region, "Kairak" in the Kostanay region, "Syrym" in the West Kazakhstan region, and "Zhaysan" in the Aktobe region. Meanwhile, authorities are preparing to extend this initiative to the border with Kyrgyzstan, where electronic queues will begin to be implemented gradually over the year. Currently, CarGoRuqsat operates not only at the Kazakhstan-Russia border but also at crossings with China, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. The system allows carriers to pre-book their border crossing time via the application or the platform Qoldau.kz, reducing downtime and minimizing corruption risks.
