UN Secretary-General Approves Turkmenistan's Concept for the International Year of Peace and Trust

The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has expressed full support for Turkmenistan's Concept of Activities and Priorities within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust. During a phone conversation with the UN Secretary-General, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, outlined the key directions of the Concept. The document reflects Turkmenistan's stance on major issues of the contemporary global agenda and emphasizes the need for consolidating efforts of states based on mutual trust, joint dialogue, and shared responsibility. "2025 can and should become a year of transformation," emphasized Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing hope for the UN's support for the objectives outlined in Turkmenistan's Concept. Furthermore, the Concept is largely based on the outcomes of the "Summit of the Future," convened at the UN's initiative last September. Turkmenistan views it as a significant contribution to implementing the summit's final document, the "Pact for the Future." Acknowledging the importance of the Concept aimed at consolidating efforts to address pressing issues on the global agenda, UN Secretary-General António Guterres fully endorsed it.
