There is an increase in cargo transportation requests to Kazakhstan

The number of requests for transportation from other countries to Kazakhstan on the international exchange platform ATI.SU has grown by 49 percent, Trend reported on Thursday, citing the exchange's press service. "There has been a noticeable increase in demand for transportation from China—up by 394% year-on-year and by 58% compared to the second quarter. However, absolute figures in this direction are still small, so it is too early to talk about reflecting a real market trend," the exchange's statement said. It is noted that there has also been significant progress in other import directions, with growing demand for road transportation from Russia, Lithuania, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. "Domestic transportation is rapidly developing: the number of requests for cargo delivery within Kazakhstan increased by 154% year-on-year and by 56% compared to the second quarter. The growth trend is confirmed by the Bureau of National Statistics. According to their data, over the first eight months of 2024, road freight transportation increased by 18.7% compared to the same period last year, and road freight turnover grew by 24.7%," ATI.SU reported.
