“RZD Logistics” expects to make transportation along the “North-South” International Transport Corridor break-even in 2025

Transportation along the “North-South” International Transport Corridor may become profitable as early as next year. This was stated by Oleg Poleev, Acting General Director of “RZD Logistics” (part of Russian Railways), during the national industrial congress “PromSpace”. According to him, these shipments do not currently bring profit to the company and require subsidies. “Our task is to ensure that this route brings in income, albeit small”, - he said, adding that to achieve this, the company expects to attract more imported cargo and balance cargo flows as early as next year. “Today we regularly send about 4 trains . Let me remind you that we started with one every two months. Just recently we agreed with one company that we will be transporting imported cargo. I don't want to announce it yet, but we have already signed a contract with them. I think that next year we will be able to count on 6-7 trains per month, that is import plus export”, - he summed up.
