Emomali Rahmon arrived in Turkmenistan for UN conference

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, the guest was greeted with bread and salt at the Turkmenbashy International Airport. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the head of the neighboring state. Rahmon expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the forum. "It is a great honor for me to participate in an event of global significance," the leader of Tajikistan emphasized. The parties noted the active development of bilateral relations and interaction within international organizations.
