Elektron Quasar 2400hp hypercar to enter serial production

German startup Elektron plans to release a production version of its electric hypercar Quasar by the end of this year, auto.ru reports. The company is currently actively looking for dealers in various regions of the world. The circulation of the most powerful electric car will be limited to 99 units, and the starting price will be at least 2,2 million euros excluding local taxes. The Quasar project was first unveiled four years ago, but until now only computer images of the car have been available to the public, rather than photographs of the actual vehicle. According to the manufacturer's plans, the model will be available to buyers from the USA and Canada, the CIS countries, the Middle East, as well as India and North Africa. According to the stated technical specifications, the Elektron Quasar will be equipped with four electric motors with a total capacity of 2400 horsepower. With such indicators, the car will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 1,65 seconds, and its maximum speed will reach 450 km/h.
