GAC Successfully Tests Flying Car GOVE

Chinese automaker GAC has successfully conducted the first tests of its flying car, GOVE, showcasing the separation of the flying cabin from the car chassis. The company plans to commence commercial use of the vehicle by 2026. The GOVE flying vehicle is equipped with six motors and twelve propellers, providing reliable lift. According to the manufacturer, the design ensures safe flight completion even in the event of partial engine failure. Dr. Su Qingpeng, head of GAC's flying car research and development department, stated that initial customers will be able to fly at low altitudes starting in 2026, with full-scale commercial operation planned for 2029. The cost of the flying car is expected to stay under $140,000 after mass production begins. Company experts estimate the potential market for flying cars at $140 billion.
