5G Network Launched in the City of Arkadag

The city of Arkadag has launched a 5G mobile network, implemented by the “Turkmenaragatnashyk” agency in cooperation with Chinese technology company Huawei. Earlier this year, in February, the city introduced 4G+ technology. Following its deployment, a decision was made to transition to a more advanced communication standard. The new 5G technology offers data transfer speeds ranging from 500 MB to 1 GB per second — significantly surpassing the capabilities of the previous 4G standard, which reached only 200–250 MB per second. The higher speed allows a large number of devices to connect simultaneously without compromising connection quality. This advancement opens up broad opportunities for the development of various digital services in the city, including remote education, digital control of production processes, telemedicine, and high-resolution broadcasting. 5G networks also support the operation of robotics systems, enabling remote control of robotic equipment across various industrial sectors.
