The top ten best-selling compact cars in the world have been named

The consulting firm Focus2move has published a new rating of the best-selling compact cars in the world. In comparison with the previous year, a number of changes are observed, auto.ru reports. Toyota Corolla remains the undisputed leader among compact cars. According to Focus2move, the Japanese model managed to sell 711 658 units, which is 0,8% more than the previous year. Second place went to Honda Civic with 307 286 cars sold. They are followed by Hyundai Elantra (200 945 units, minus 10%) and Nissan Sentra (154 031 units, plus 36,8%). The success of Lada Granta was unexpected, taking the fifth place in the rating, having sold 151 192 units. This is 12.8% more than the year before. The top 10 is rounded out by Volkswagen Sagitar, Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, BYD Destroyer 05 and Maruti Baleno.
