A Turkmen delegation is taking part in the 18th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which kicked off today in Dushanbe. This year’s event, held under the motto "Commonwealth of Independent States: New Horizons of Humanitarian Cooperation," brings together representatives from science, culture, education, and media to discuss key areas of collaboration. The Forum features discussions on four main themes: preserving historical memory of the Great Victory, balancing traditions and innovations in culture, contemporary challenges in science and education, and the role of media in strengthening humanitarian ties. CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev, in his welcoming address, noted that participants will define new priorities for cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. During the plenary session, the interstate awards "Stars of the Commonwealth" and "Commonwealth Debuts" were presented, along with the launch of the "Cultural Capitals of the CIS" program. The first day of the Forum will conclude with a concert by the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra, led by Russian People's Artist and "Stars of the Commonwealth" laureate Sergei Skripka.
