The 8th meeting of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission was held in Baku

The 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the capital of Azerbaijan, during which the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in key areas of the economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported. The Turkmen delegation at the negotiations was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev, the Azerbaijani side was represented by Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov. The participants of the meeting noted the wide range of bilateral cooperation, covering trade and economic, energy, transport and cultural and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to the great opportunities for expanding cooperation in the energy sector. Following the talks, a protocol was signed providing for deepening cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, agricultural and other areas. The next 9th meeting of the commission is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat.
