President of Turkmenistan Sends Congratulatory Message to Participants of the II Theatre Festival of TURKSOY Member States

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory message to the participants of the II Theatre Festival of the Member States of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), according to TDH. In his message, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of this event in strengthening cultural ties between Turkic-speaking nations, noting that the festival would be a true celebration of theatrical art. The declaration of 2024 as the 'Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World – Magtymguly Pyragy,' and the naming of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world at the 2022 session of the TURKSOY Permanent Council, has given new momentum to the further development of cooperation among creative workers of Turkmenistan and other Turkic-speaking nations. The genius poems of Magtymguly, which call for patriotism, unity, humanism, friendship, and brotherhood, have become a source of inspiration for cultural figures, writers, poets, artists, sculptors, bakhshi, musicians, composers, and performers. During the final meeting of the members of the TURKSOY Union of Museums, the artists' festival, and the writers' meeting of TURKSOY member countries, which will be held as part of the theatre festival, discussions will focus on the development and enhancement of the culture, art, and literature of Turkic peoples.
