Turkmenistan Airlines Announces Pilot Training Program in Turkey
The Open Joint-Stock Company "Turkmenistan Airlines" has announced a recruitment drive for candidates to enroll in a four-year pilot training program at the University of the Aviation Union of the Republic of Turkey. According to an announcement published in the newspaper Mugallymlar gazeti, applications are open to male citizens of Turkmenistan under the age of 25 who possess at least a general secondary education and a military ID. Candidates must meet the pilot medical requirements (ICAO standards) established by the Medical Center of the “Turkmenhowayollary” agency. Admission will be based on a competitive selection process following entrance exams. Training will begin after a preliminary interview with Turkmenistan Airlines, assessments by representatives from the Turkish university, and a medical examination in Ankara. Applications are being accepted in Ashgabat until July 15 of this year. Required documents include: a completed application form, passport with a copy, military ID with a copy, educational certificates, medical certificate, a character reference from the most recent place of study or employment, eight 3×4 cm photos, and other relevant documents. Entrance exams will be held from July 21 to August 10 at the Aviation Training School of the “Turkmenhowayollary” agency in Ashgabat. The exams will cover English (speaking, writing, and reading), mathematics, and physics. Knowledge of additional foreign languages is an advantage. An important condition for participation is the signing of a tripartite agreement (between the airline, the student, and a guarantor) for studying at the foreign university. Under the terms of this agreement, graduates are required to work for the airline in their field of study for at least 10 years following successful graduation. Tuition fees will be covered by the airline; however, candidates are responsible for additional expenses such as visa processing, health insurance, daily meals, communication, and transportation costs. Applications should be submitted to: Ashgabat, A. Annayev Street, Open Joint-Stock Company "Turkmenistan Airlines". For more information, contact: 23-47-88, 23-02-61.
