Japanese Prime Minister Plans to Meet with Turkmen President at Expo 2025 in Osaka

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has announced plans to meet with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the World Expo 2025, to be held in Osaka. In his message to the head of Turkmenistan, Ishiba expressed hope for strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. The text of the message was reported by TDH. “Turkmenistan is an important strategic partner for Japan in building a free and open international order based on the rule of law. It is encouraging that cooperation between our countries is deepening in various fields, including economic, scientific, technical, and cultural areas. I also look forward to meeting with you during your visit to the World Expo 2025 Osaka next year,” the message reads. Ishiba also emphasized the importance of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, as a platform for further strengthening bilateral relations.
